Borough Road Work Information

Do you want to find out about roadwork in your local area?

You can view details of roadwork being carried out by utilities such as gas, water, telecom and electricity companies. You can also view engineering works being carried out by the Council to improve roads and structures within the Borough.

To view the works simply select the locality or enter part of the road name.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

1. Location of Roadwork on maps - not all roadworks are positioned accurately.

Please note that the information is supplied by utility companies and this Council's engineering service areas. Current legislation only requires the location by road name and the exact reference location is optional. Consequently only road works where a map reference has been provided will be displayed on the maps. It is anticipated that new regulations will make provision of map co-ordinates to be mandatory during 2006.

2. Completeness of information.

Please note that not all roadworks are included. Utility companies are required to provide notices of roadworks to the highway authority before work commences. For Council promoted works only works concerned with improving and maintaining the highway are included.

You can also view all works on the highway via our Elgin (Electronic Local Government Information Network) system.

To start using Elgin please go to www.elgin.gov.uk

To view all works in the Telford area, click, Find Roadworks. You can search on; date, road number e.g. A5, road name e.g. Holyhead Road, place name e.g. Wellington or on impact.

To start your search, de-select all the tick boxes apart from Telford & Wrekin and enter any of the above criteria then click, Search for Roadworks.

The next page is the schedule of roadworks within the selected criteria. Symbols on the right hand side of the entries are colour coded to indicate the impact the roadworks may have, No entry signs indicate a road closure. To view additional information relating to the road works click the, More Information link on the right hand side of any specific entry.

To view a location map of the roadworks click the, Map Roadwork link on the right hand side of the entry.
